Where we install

Elevator lobbies and pits
An elevator pit is the most expensive puddle in a building. Side channels mount on the lobby walls; three numbered panels seal the opening before water reaches the shaft.

Parking garage levels
Elevator doors, stair access and mechanical rooms on the parking level, where water arrives first. Panels store on a wall bracket a few feet away.

Garage entrances and loading docks
Double service doors, ramps and dock openings up to 18 feet with a center post, wider with more. The sandbags this building used to stack are still in the corner.

Fire exits and stairwell doors
Outswing egress doors get an interior install so the door always opens. Panic hardware and code clearances are respected on every opening.

Waterfront homes and French doors
Coastal residence on a canal: water came over the seawall and through the backyard double French doors. One long run with intermediate posts, deployed by the owner in minutes.

Valet, receiving and utility rooms
Valet office, receiving office, generator and pump rooms: any door on the parking level. One estimate covers every opening on the property.
Numbered panels. Staff-proof deployment.
Every panel is labeled 1, 2, 3 with a QR code to the deployment guide. Maintenance, security or any staff member can seal an opening in a few minutes with the supplied clamps, without calling us. We walk your team through it at installation and leave a laminated guide on site.
Sandbags versus a WDS barrier
The photo says it: the sandbags this building stacked at the garage door, still in the corner next to the barrier that replaced them. South Florida now floods several times a year outside hurricane season. The worst flood in Fort Lauderdale's recorded history was an April rain event. A building that relies on sandbags pays for labor, storage and disposal every single time.
| Sandbags | WDS barrier | |
|---|---|---|
| Deployment | Crew of several people, hours, every event | One staff member, minutes |
| Seal | Leaks at every joint, no compression | EPDM compression seal on sill, sides and between panels |
| Reuse | Single use, wet bags go to the dumpster | Rinse, dry, store. Reusable for years |
| Storage | Pallets of bags, sand and labor on call | Three panels on a wall bracket next to the opening |
| Appearance | Sandbags at the lobby door | Slim channels on the frame, nothing else visible |
How it works for a building
-
Site assessment
We walk the property with you, measure every opening bracket to bracket and check door swing, clearances and where water enters first.
-
One estimate, every opening
Line by line per opening, with panel count and height, so the board or ownership sees exactly what is covered.
-
Fabrication and installation
Panels are cut to size in North Miami and installed by our own crew, with no cutting into the slab.
-
Staff walkthrough
Your team deploys the first set with us, keeps the numbered guide and can reach us any time.
Technical documentation
Dimensioned drawings of the panel, side post and middle post, material specifications and the summary of the SGS witnessed test to BS 851188-2 (0.02 to 0.20 L/h per meter leakage against a 40 L/h limit, 0 mm deformation after a 50 kg impact). View specifications and request the drawings package.
