Component specifications
| Barrier panel | Extruded aluminum 6063-T5, anodized. 220 mm [8.66 in] high x 35 mm [1.38 in] thick, 2 mm wall, multi-cell hollow profile with top hook and bottom groove. |
|---|---|
| Panel types | Top panel with two U-caps and two EPDM water strips; middle panels with two EPDM water strips each; bottom panel with EPDM bottom foam at the sill. |
| Side posts | 80 x 52 mm [3.15 x 2.05 in] section, 4 mm wall, side-wall mounted, EPDM seal lips in the channel, compression bolt at the top. |
| Middle post | 80 x 100 mm [3.15 x 3.94 in] double-channel section with 8 mm center web and rear back support bracket anchored to the slab. Used on wide openings. |
| Protection height | 220 mm per panel. Standard WDS stack of 3 panels = 660 mm [26 in]. Tested to 5 panels (1002 mm water head). |
| Spans | Single door up to 4 ft, single garage up to 9 ft, double garage up to 18 ft with one middle post; wider openings with additional middle posts. |
Witnessed performance test
A 6.0 m x 1.12 m barrier (15 panels, 2 side posts, 2 middle posts) was tested over three full cycles, 80 hours in total, with the test witnessed by SGS (report NJINSCS2600257 Rev03, May 2026). Reference standard BS 851188-2:2019+A1:2021.
| Water heights | 334 mm, 668 mm and 1002 mm [13, 26 and 39 in], each held for one hour in every cycle |
|---|---|
| Leakage limit | Less than 40 L/h per meter of barrier |
| Leakage measured | 0.02 to 0.20 L/h per meter across all heights and cycles |
| Impact test | 50 kg [110 lb] weight at 334 mm, two impacts: 0 mm deformation, no increase in leakage |
| Result | Satisfactory |
